Violence at the Inauguration?

There has been a lot of speculation that there will be violence today in the capitol for the inauguration. This of course follows the riots that broke out on the 6th which were blamed on Trump supporters.

I personally think it will be pretty low key. There have been reports of “intelligence” that indicates something is brewing but I am not sure that you are going to find many crowds that want to go up against 25,000 uniformed soldiers who have been authorized the use of deadly force.

A quote from the white house says there are “Zero active threats as of this morning, just tons of anonymous tips from paranoid Biden supporters though…lines have been flooded with psychobable and nothing burgers since Friday.”

I would encourage you to read this article over at PJ Media from Robert Spencer.  He draws a parallel that is worth thinking about in today’s environment.

On February 27, 1933, four weeks after Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, the Reichstag, the German parliament building in Berlin, caught fire. The culprit was a Dutch Communist, Marinus van der Lubbe, who apparently had acted alone. Hitler, however, insisted that the Communist Party, which was a considerable force within the Reichstag, had set the fire, and pressed German President Paul von Hindenburg to approve of an emergency law suspending civil liberties. Communist leaders, including the Communist members of the Reichstag, were hunted down and arrested.

Before the attacks come rolling in, I am not saying anyone is a Nazi, but if you are looking at history to find similar events, this definitely looks familiar.
