Governing from the Beyond the Fringe
What do the theories of critical race, gender identity, and climate change have in common? They cannot be proven. More importantly, they cannot be disproven. This allows bureaucrats and politicians justification for all kinds of actions. What is even better is that just about any happenings in society or the weather can be held up as “proof” of at least one of these.
Critical race theory started coming into its own during the Obama years. It is a theory that says white privilege pervades every aspect of society, especially its laws. Concrete evidence is not needed here because white guilt is largely needed to suppress any questioning of is tenants. In any case, President Biden has made sure to address it in the form of equities. That means that no matter how you get to where you are going doesn’t matter, you should end up with the same stuff as anyone else. This is a simple version, but I think accurate.
Gender Theory was first put together in the 70s. It was started by a psychologist named John Money. He developed the ideas and attempted to put them into practice with tragic results. It turns out that Mr. Money was a sexual predator and a pedophile. His first patient ended up reverting to the sex he was born with and committing suicide. No matter, the President has sees it as a winning issue. He took action by signing an EO that allows biological men to participate in women’s sports.
Climate Change could be one of the largest swindles in history. Entire industries have sprung up based on the “settled science.” Where would all of the money for solar panels, and wind turbines come from if they couldn’t be forcibly extracted from a taxpayer. Most reasonable people would look at the return on such investments, and keep their money in their pockets. Only the government gets to invest lavishly in bad ideas with no consequence. The White House is proud to announce several executive orders that will address.
This is only the first few days of the new administration. We are going to see a lot more of these far left ideas pushed into our everyday lives. They will come with very heavy price tags. Some of these ideas will try to get funded as amendments to must pass legislation. They need to be pointed out and condemned when found. They are a waste of our resources.
