Rep Johnson (D-GA) of Guam Flipping Fame as My Moral Compass
When I find myself bogged down and unable to find answers in these troubled times I often look to our leaders. One of the leaders I look to is Representative Johnson. You probably think, as most do, that politicians are not capable of independent thought. They all get their talking points email in the morning and carry the water for the rest of the day. I disagree. Some shine as glaring examples of what we might call “thinking outside of the box.” May I present Representative Hank Johnson.
When I say moral compass, I mean that I usually go the opposite direction of where he is pointing. When I first saw this, I remember falling out of my chair, curling into a tight ball and crying softly for 48 hours.
So when I saw the press release on his website calling for Rep. Mo Brooks to be expelled from the house, I knew everything was probably going to be OK.
On January 14, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) introduced a resolution calling for Congress to expel Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks from the House of Representatives for his part in inciting the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Representative Brooks repeatedly promoted President Trump’s baseless and dangerous election theft claims, culminating in a profanity-laden speech to an angry mob of supporters of Trump that included calls to march on the U.S. Capitol.
The Democrats are really trying to get some coin out of the riots that happened in the capital. At he same time they are keeping awfully quiet on the “peaceful BLM protests” that happened all over the country for most of last year. This is not the politics of unity. They are just as divisive as they have always been, only now they have a little more power.
In case the clip above wasn’t enough for you, Roll Call put together a kind of greatest hits for Rep Johnson.
That makes me laugh until my sides hurt. For him to be elected, let alone re-elected, should say something about the way elections happen in areas of the country. It probably needs a good looking into.
