Is President Biden a Victim of this Government Too?
President Biden is responsible for everything that is happening right now. As the leader of the executive branch of government and the Commander in Chief of the military, the buck does stop with him. As the top law enforcement officer in the country, he is responsible for how the people under him enforce.
I makes you wonder if this is by design. Just this morning I have read two articles about things that would have never happened in previous administrations. At least not in the open. At the Daily Signal they are pointing out how the lawyers that worked for Trump are being drummed out of business:
These lawyers find themselves in the all-too-familiar position today of being punished for carrying out their professional duties to the best of their abilities—as required by the codes of conduct that govern all attorneys—by representing a client who is politically unpopular with those in power.
This is not just wrong, but un-American—something we don’t say lightly. This country is fundamentally based on the rule of law, which depends on protecting the ability and independence of lawyers to take unpopular clients and unpopular cases, something that has been done by brave, principled lawyers throughout our nation’s history.
At Issues and Insights, they warn that the government is not only trying to stifle speech, they are using the powers of the state in unimaginable ways.
A country and a culture are in trouble when those in authority allow only one voice to be heard, when they decide what is acceptable speech and what isn’t, when the controversial and the unpopular are treated as crimes to be punished. Biden hasn’t bitten – yet – on a reality czar or ministry of truth. But under his administration, this country is shaping up as a banana republic.
Tucker Carlson spoke last night about how a private company, in this case Bank of America, has also turned into an extension of the state. The company went through their database of customer transactions that happened on January 5th and 6th. They were looking for purchases and records of hotel or Air BNB stays in the DC area for the time of the riots. They then turned it over to the government. The FBI has already intimidated at least one person that made the list, even though he wasn’t near the riots.
There are other examples of what would normally be thought of as abuses by the government. I don’t think we can expect them to wind down soon. The new administration is looking for the edges of its power. It won’t stop until it finds them. That means someone has to push back somewhere.
As I mentioned when I started this diatribe though, President Biden is the face of this. But is he the one running it? I don’t think so. I think the state is currently in fear of its own people. That explains the national guard and capital fence. They are trying as hard as they can to solidify power. They need to establish a new normal. And the whole while, poor Joe, who is not completely aware of what is going on, takes the blame.
If the entire thing blows up, meaning they find the push back point, Joe can be removed and Kamala can step in as the savior. She can blame the whole mess on Joe’s failing health. She can say that she tried to stop him but wasn’t able to until it got too bad. Then she will make a show of turning over a new leaf. By then, the population will have been desensitized to many of the abuses, and only a couple will have to be rolled back to show progress.
