Welcome To Third World America
We may not be completely there yet, but we are on the way. Several hallmarks of a banana republic are already on display. Selectively enforcing the law to advantage those in power is just one of the most glaring. The DACA policy implemented by the Obama administration is a great example. The theory behind it was pretty simple. Every law enforcement officer has discretion whether or not to enforce the law based on the situation they are presented with. A driver that runs a red light at 2 in the morning with no other cars anywhere around, is breaking the law. But did they actually compromise public safety which is the reason for the law in the first place? A police officer may just give a warning, or decide not to intervene at all. Obama simply claimed that he was the top law enforcement officer, and as such, decided not to enforce immigration law on an entire class of people.
What value then is the legislative branch of government, if the executive can simply decide not to enforce laws that it passes. It is definitely not a branch with equal power.
In what was surely an accident, it just happened to be that this class of people was younger, and typically more liberal. If allowed to vote, they would most likely vote democrat. That was the political calculation that Obama made to help them maintain power in the long term. They just needed a way for the Dreamers to become legal voters. That is why amnesty has been pushed so hard. There are literally millions of potential democratic voters living here, they just need the right to do so.
Other consequences of importing voters from third world countries were quietly ignored. Because they don’t just come with voting potential, they bring their culture with them. This is what has happened in Sweden:
According to a survey by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå), around half of students avoid certain people, activities and areas due to a fear of being the victims of crime.
The school survey, which questioned 6,000 students across the country, revealed at 56 per cent of girls and 46 per cent of boys were so concerned about becoming victims of crime in their everyday lives that they place various limitations on where they can go and who they interact with.
Anna Gavell Frenzel, an investigator at the National Council for Crime Prevention, told broadcaster SVT: “It is worrying that there are so many students who feel anxious and it is problematic that you feel that you cannot do certain things out of concern about being subjected to crime.”
Sweden has allowed in thousands of Muslims from the middle east. And in the way that most migrant groups do when entering into a new country, they congregate with others who know their food, language, and values. This has resulted in neighborhoods becoming no go zones for regular swedes. The police have labeled these zones as “vulnerable” and have issues working with the locals.
The number of areas classed as “vulnerable” by Swedish police has risen from 15 to 23 in two years, according to leaked documents held back from release by Sweden’s national police chief.
Police hoped that increased resources would have reduced the number of “vulnerable” areas — typically migrant-dominated neighbourhoods which have been turned into virtual no-go zones as a result of rampant drug trafficking, gang crime, and religious extremism.
But the classified report, which was produced by the intelligence department of Sweden’s National Operations Department (NOA) and has been seen by Dagens Nyheter, showed that law enforcement has been helpless to halt the spread of criminality and extremism.
And now our third supposed co-equal branch of government, the judicial branch, is in the crosshairs:
Democrats have talked about packing the Supreme Court and seeking to end lifetime appointments of justices. Now a new commission under the Biden administration will be looking at the subject of court reforms.
Indeed, President Joe Biden’s White House is staffing the panel, which will examine reforms to the nation’s top court and the federal judiciary, Politico reported.
If the Biden administration packs the supreme court with a bunch of rubber stampers for his radical policies, our government will be truly lost. The precedent of the executive branch over riding the legislative has been set. If the judicial just becomes a parrot of the ruling party, then there is no check on power.
That is why the last election was so important. That was the turning point. The Democrats knew this and they pulled out all of the stops to make the election look valid. Now they just need to put the thinnest veneer of legality on their actions to maintain control. They know that the American People generally follow the law. We assume that our elected leaders have our best interests at heart.
What if that isn’t true though? What if they weren’t really elected? What if they are acting in their own interests and letting the country fall into third world status so they can be in control? I think we can look at Venezuela for the roadmap they are trying to follow.
