The same question was on top of every judges mind that decided to punt on the lawsuits that were presented to them concerning the stolen election.
The reason that many of the courts decided to punt is pretty simple. They didn’t want to be the ones responsible for possible bloodshed. The newly self minted administration moved as quickly as they could to put on a show of being in charge. With good reason, if you are seen to be in charge, then you effectively are.
This brings to mind some of the civil affairs training I received before going into Afghanistan. One of the principles that was stressed over and over, was that any entity can assume as much power and responsibility as they want to, until it is challenged. Say for instance that I put on an official looking uniform and plopped myself into the middle of an intersection. What if I then started to control the traffic through the intersection like the police of old. As long as I did a decent job and didn’t make too many people unhappy, the people would accept it. I, as a minority of one, could exert some amount of control over a much larger number of people.
When that control is challenged is where I have problems. Do I have a means to put down a faction questioning my authority, or has my bluff been called?
That is the precarious position that the Biden puppet masters presented to the supreme court. Are you going to be the guys that question the legitimacy of this government? That is a tough question in the United States. A lot of people assume that the government has the upper hand because they have civilian control of the military. But is that enough when the civilian population could have over 600 million weapons to bring to bear?
Then how much of the military would you lose if they are forced to engage their own people? That is a question that no government wants to have to answer.
So the question to the supreme court was “Do you want to be responsible for destroying our government?” That is why they couldn’t let the court battles happen. They knew that the evidence is convincing enough to put the entire sham in doubt. If that happened the masses may have decided to challenge the authority. That led to the supreme court punting once again. They were not willing to be the ones that challenged the status quo.
