We have seen this happening for a while. Sundance over at the Conservative Treehouse has chronicled it for a long time now. It is a lot easier to keep the populace in check if it looks like there is a loyal opposition to the ruling party. It gives the party out of power a very dangerous emotion, hope.
Hope ensures inaction. It gives a reason to put up with injustice. It keeps the majority cowed. They need to keep that illusion going to ensure their one party rule, all the while claiming bipartisan support.
Today in the House nine Republicans voted in favor of amnesty for Dreamers. These are the illegals that were given a questionable status by Obama. They should have been deported long ago, but were allowed to stay here from their teenage years through adulthood. Now the Democrats want to make them voters. Republicans are jumping in line because they have been told what is coming.
Why would Republicans go along with this sham? It isn’t too complicated. The Democrats want to pass the so called “For the People Act” that would ensure voter fraud on the scale of the 2020 presidential election. Drop boxes, early voting, mail in ballots, everything that enabled the 2020 steal would be enshrined in federal law. That means they get to determine exactly who gets elected. All they have to do is kill the filibuster. If they can get even one Republican vote to repeal it they can claim bipartisan support.
They don’t really need it in the Senate, but if they don’t get it, they know that it may be enough to blow the nation up. There are enough people that know what is riding on this to make it very painful. They want to avoid that and keep walking the thin line they established with the presidential steal. They know that they are on the edge, that is why the national guard is still there.
So, they are telling the Republicans that the voter fraud act is going to pass. It just makes it easier, and may save lives if they play ball. And they get to stay in power. They just need to keep the R next to their names and keep things looking bipartisan.
