There were a lot of rumors during his eight years in office that Barack was down with the sausage fest. A lot of those rumors were based on tales coming out of Chicago that he was seen many times at Man’s Country, which is a gay bath house. He reportedly had a thing for older white men. The rumors had little chance of dying with Reggie Love as his body man. The press liked to point out how close they were with each other. They even vacationed together without Michelle around.
The press played on the rumors too, though the mainstream services never actually came out and said it. But the entire “evolution” on gay marriage thing generated headlines that Barack was the first gay president. CNN even winked at the possibility:
He has been declared America’s “first gay president.”
But President Barack Obama’s evolution to that title hasn’t been easy. His positions zig-zagged over almost two decades.
His advocacy of same-sex marriage began well before his White House years, tracing back to his early political service in Illinois. The effectiveness of his leadership, however, will be determined by the U.S. Supreme Court as it considers a California ban on same-sex marriage.
Barack’s first stop after leaving the White House certainly didn’t tamp anything down.
Many have been wondering why Barack Obama’s very first stay after he left the White House with his wife Michelle was Palm Springs, California. It was there that the former First Couple stayed with a married gay couple at their mansion “with the 8-car garage”.
Shortly after arriving, Michelle Obama then took a private jet owned by billionaire Richard Branson to his private island in the Bahamas.
So now that he is free of the daily grind of being president, I am wondering where he goes to open the release valve. The Obamas have at least three homes.
Barack Obama can be presumed to own three residences. It is unknown whether his previous residence in Chicago, Illinois near the Kenwood and Hyde Park neighborhoods is still owned by him. He also has a home in Washington, D.C.’s Kalorama neighborhood and Martha’s Vineyard in Edgartown, Massachusetts.
He undoubtedly knows the man scene in Chicago, and I can’t imagine that there isn’t a thriving gay community in DC. Matha’s Vineyard may be another story. If its there, it probably stays under the radar.
But if he is still trying to keep that side of himself secret, he probably imports his friendly encounters. I’m surprised that we haven’t heard any leaks on his social life yet though. He may have been the first gay president, but he isn’t owning up to it publicly yet.
