Since President Trump has left office, the United States has been faced with several tests of our national will. In each case, the Biden administration has either equivocated, or simply failed to respond. The single exception may be the mildly worded response to the military coup in Myanmar which was completely ignored by the junta.
President Putin of Russia recalled his ambassador and promptly began a military buildup on the border with Ukraine. In a report yesterday in The Sun, Russia even threatened NATO of rising tensions if they tried to respond.
RUSSIA has today warned it will ”take extra measures” if NATO sends forces to help Ukraine, amid renewed fears over the region’s long-simmering conflict.
It comes after Vladimir Putin deployed up to 4,000 soldiers along with tanks and other armoured vehicles to the disputed border with its neighbour.
In a meeting with the Chinese in Alaska, the Secretary of State was belittled on the world stage by the communist diplomats. President Biden had no choice but to smile and pretend that it was all to plan. It wasn’t.
“I’m very proud of the secretary of state,” Biden told reporters on the White House lawn after the unexpected lashing Thursday from Communist diplomats who mocked Biden’s claim to be operating from a “position of strength” to Blinken’s face on US soil.
The shocking attack on the United States from China contrasted with familiar US criticism of China, including on human rights in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
The fact that it happened on our own soil just added salt to the unexpected wound delivered by the Chinese.
In another capitulation on the world stage, the Biden team is set to meet with representatives from Iran to talk about reviving the nuclear deal. This is after the President vowed not to negotiate until Iran returned to the original framework of the JCPOA. Iran has so far not budged, and Biden convinced the South Koreans to release 7 billion dollars back to the mullahs. There really isn’t any way to see this as anything but weakness on the part of the US.
All of this comes after the President decided to rejoin the Paris Climate Deal, the World Health Organization, and the UN Human Rights Council. All of which work to the detriment of US taxpayers, and our interests abroad. The UN has even put itself squarely in the middle of the illegal immigration crisis at our southern border.
It seems the only real hard line that the Administration is willing to take is against its own citizens. Participants in the January 6th protest at the capitol are being severely overcharged by prosecutors, and Biden is encouraging private companies to boycott individual states.
The image that Joe is projecting to the world is definitely not one of strength. As has been seen in the past, when the US shows weakness, it encourages bad actors to pursue goals that they normally wouldn’t. Just one example is the Russian annexation of Crimea during the Obama years.
If this isn’t turned around, it will be more than just China that eats our lunch.
