Its a cheap and meaningless ploy, but it seems to work. Congress puts together a massive spending bill backed by nothing more than Unicorn sprinkles and Leprechaun farts, and then they add something reasonable, and that becomes the push.
The so called infrastructure plan that is now in the works puts only about 5 to 7 percent of its total spending towards infrastructure. You shouldn’t be surprised by what it is actually doing. It aims to make the Union coffers bigger, so they can donate more to Democrats.
President Joe Biden — and his media allies — are touting his latest $2 trillion spending push as a plan to rebuild America’s crumbling infrastructure. But the single-biggest line item has nothing to do with roads or bridges or even green-energy plants: It’s a ploy to vastly enlarge and unionize the ranks of home health-care aides.
Nothing says infrastructure like getting a sponge bath.
That is only one of the falsely tagged bills. How about HR1 which is the “For the People Act.” It says that it is going to “addresses voter access, election integrity and security, campaign finance, and ethics for the three branches of government.” Wow! Sounds great doesn’t it. In reality it strips the power of the states to conduct elections and hands it to the federal government. Of course we should trust those crooks with our elections, who wouldn’t? This is from the Heritage Foundation, who I trust a lot more than Pelosi:
H.R. 1 would federalize and micromanage the election process administered by the states, imposing unnecessary, unwise, and unconstitutional mandates on the states and reversing the decentralization of the American election process—which is essential to the protection of our liberty and freedom. It would (among other things) implement nationwide the worst changes in election rules that occurred during the 2020 election; go even further in eroding and eliminating basic security protocols that states have in place; and interfere with the ability of states and their citizens to determine the qualifications and eligibility of voters, ensure the accuracy of voter registration rolls, secure the fairness and integrity of elections, and participate and speak freely in the political process.
Its real name should be “Hey Lets Take Away Power From the States So We Can Cheat On All Elections and Win Act.”
The COVID relief bill that was called the CARES Act (COVID Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) was full of crap that had nothing to do with the pandemic. Billion of dollars went to minority farmers who already got money at least once from claims of discrimination. This money is really just a form of reparations, they just didn’t want to use that word.
Absolutely nothing is as it seems up there in DC. It is all a game so that they can play gotcha politics. If anyone said they were against the COVID relief act, they were against giving 1400 dollar checks to people in need. Even if they were really against all of the other bloat and wasted funds that makes up the majority of the spending.
This is why I am usually against all legislation. It is going to have crap in it somewhere. That is how things get passed, by bribing some to get what others want. Gridlock is really the only safe condition in Washington. Neither Republican or Democratic legislation can be trusted. It all gets framed as being good for us. It is usually a lie.
