I have seen a few articles over the past few days talking about how President Biden, who has been vaccinated, continues to wear at least one mask when doing just about anything. It is strange for a couple of reasons. One reason is probably just Joe being Joe. He can barely tie his shoes, so trying to take away his mask now would be like trying to steal a two year old’s blankie. Another, is that it looks like there is really no incentive for the rest of us to get the shots. Why take an experimental vaccine when there is no real incentive? If everything stays the same, then why take the risk?
Another flashing warning was the mostly empty chamber that Joe gave an address to. I could only stomach part of it, but what I did see looked pretty dystopian. I wondered of they were mostly empty because of an imaginary virus risk to a bunch of vaccinated people, or if it was going to be empty anyway. It looks much better to say the place is empty because of personal safety then having most of congress stay away from indifference.
Another point to make is that a lot of spending that Biden wants to do is related to the pandemic. He is still trying to rescue the American people after several trillion dollars have went out the door for supposedly just that. So maybe he needs to keep the fear alive to get his agenda through.
But here is the biggie. Pfizer just started human trials for a pill that may cure the virus. The immediate question that popped into my head was “Why would we need a cure for the virus after herd immunity has been reached through vaccinations and natural infections?” Here is the information.
Dozens of volunteers have begun participation in initial trials for a pill that pharmaceutical company Pfizer hopes will be a cure for COVID-19 available later this year, the Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
The trial is being held at two Pfizer locations, one in the US and the other in Belgium, and will involve up to 60 volunteers age 18-60.
It takes a lot of money to get a drug to market, so why spend all of that to make it available for a market that won’t exist by then? I wonder if they have information that we don’t? Information like the government is going to ensure that there is a market? Or it could be a lot of other reasons, but it seems like they are putting a lot of money into nothing if what we have been told is true.
It makes you wonder how much of what we know is actually true.
