If you need any more evidence that the politics of Washington has infected every part of our society look no further. The Washington Headquarters Services, which is supposedly a nonpartisan agency posted a sermon from Navy Lt. Aristotle Rivera who is based at Camp Lejeune NC. He obviously has an axe to grind in this message to the congregation.

Rivera’s sermon takes a well-known passage in the New Testament book Acts that is an account of Peter preaching to “men of Israel” the redemption available in Christ’s death. He appears to use the passage to dismiss liberal interpretations of scripture.

The chaplain concludes that the message of the passage is “Jesus lived. You killed him. God raised him. We saw him. Say sorry,” and wishes readers a Happy Easter, which took place this year on April 4th.

Why a non partisan, non religious based government agency would post this at all is questionable. But the anti-semitic message is probably the reason they did.

The Democratic Party seems filled to the brim with Israel haters these days. The only democratic state in the middle east has no friends in DC at the moment.
