The body that was being thrown into the river in broad daylight had been turned over to the family after he died on the 28th of May.

“Prem Nath Mishra was hospitalised on May 25 after he contracted Covid-19 and succumbed to the disease on May 28. The body was handed over to family members as per the Covid-19 protocol. In the video, which went viral on social media, it can be seen that the body was thrown into the Rapti river.”

This has turned into a pretty big problem. Hundreds of bodies have been found floating in rivers in India, and they are suspected to be casualties of the pandemic.

The incident in the video has been reported to the police.
