Anita Dunn Says Biden Can Be Bipartisan With No Republican Support
Does she think words don’t mean anything? Wow. You should remember her from the Obama days when she said Chairman Mao was one of her besties. She was drummed out of the administration after that. President Biden was nice enough to pull her out of the garbage for another turn at the public trough.
Anyway, this brainchild has this to say. From Brietbart:
“He’s facing the deepest problems but the biggest opportunities of any president probably since FDR,” Dunn said of the 78-year-old president.
“Even with narrow majorities in Congress, he has the opportunity to build broad bipartisan support for his program — not necessarily in Congress but with the American people,” she said, signaling little hope in working across the aisle.
So she is saying that the President won’t be bipartisan with congress, but with others. She knows that the rest of us don’t get to vote on legislation, I hope. Convincing “the people” that the President has the right ideas doesn’t do anything in the short term. We have to wait until the next election to get our voices heard.
This boils down to meaningless word soup. She is saying positive things and trying to use the word “bipartisan” in a sentence just so it will make it into the press. That way someone else can point to it and say that the administration is doing it, even if they completely change what the word means.
